Hunter 23.5 Mast Rivets

Can anyone tell me if the rivets used on the mast are aluminum or stainless specifically the four rivets that hold the base plate to the bottom of the mast, and what size they are in length and diameter? Thank's in advance, Mike

Mine were stainless. 1/8" I think 1/2"long maybe 3/4.

Aluminum would be fine they are just there to keep it from falling off when the mast is down.

I have seen the larger pop rivets in aluminum on the mast step used but many do not own the larger pop rivet guns. best to use aluminum but have seen stainless steel used which puzzled me as to use since it is a dissamalar metal from aluminum.

I just replaced the mast base plate this spring on my 240. I used aluminum pop rivets, 3/16" x 1/2". Worked great.
