What is the longest cruise fellow forum members have taken on a Hunter 23.5?

Our record so far is 13 days on the boat, covering over 300 miles... down to Cape Lookout, up to Ocracoke and back to Washington NC by a roundabout route. We've also had several lovely week long trips with her.

We love our little 'Willadine'. I have to brag that we have so far spent nearly 200 days on the water with her since purchase in October 2011 - over 25% of our time!

We find her very comfortable for two (pampered camping) and doable for a few days with a couple of extra kids on board.

Our cruising grounds are in and around Pamlico Sound, and we love the ability to tuck in for the night just about anywhere we like and explore all the creeks and interconnecting cuts in the area. We've found she'll take more weather and sea than I initially thought. I'm impressed anyways.

Wow, I'm impressed, 13 days! We've only done some overniters on ours but I'm hoping to do some longer cruises soon. Good to hear the boat does well in weather. We spent the night at a marina a few days ago when a cold front blew through and she was concerned about how much the boat moved around. lol. We definately need to get out more.

Thanks Dave. We've been in touch in the past. I'm grateful for your help.

Come sailing with us sometime! The boat is in a slip in Oriental for the moment. We normally keep her in North Creek near Bath. We've been exploring some new water around the Neuse (and getting some work done on the trailer while the boat is in the slip).

ARe you at the sailboat Marina there in Bath? If so, tell Paul I said hello.

We know (and love) Paul, but the boat lives at Potter's Marina on North Creek - about 10 miles east of Bath. If you don't know Conway Potter, you might want to. He's an amazing guy and runs a very nice little Marina with a boat ramp. We normally store the boat on the trailer, mast up, rigged and ready to go. Conway provides a truck for launch/retrieval, so we don't have to drive a gas guzzling tow vehicle down there every week. Prices are very reasonable. Conway has room for more yard boats, so spreading the good word.
