thanks for the pics , im all set up, i tied my bilge pump into the cockpit cooler drain ,wont be using cooler for cold ones, using it for docklines and other gear.
Doesn't your cockpit cooler drain .. drain into the cockpit ? (mine does) IF so, do you really want to have the bilge pump discharge into your cockpit (oil, dirt, grime and all) ?

oil, dirt ,grime??? if my bilge has them i suspect a more serious problem.
besides most comments i have heard about the bilge on the hunter 22 is how dry it is.
Cockpits need cleaning on a regular basis anyhoot.
There will be kids,a dog and probably unwanted seagull leftovers.
I have had a few boats and really like my H-22 but when I see things like that it makes me question what the quality controle was doing or not doing. I have seen or heard of so many questionable practices by the boat industry I serriously doubt I would ever spend money on a new boat. I had a Carver 28 voyager one time and the wood work for the engine logs had to be designed with one thing in mind, failure in a few years.
Any way as sailing goes I find the H 22 a great boat to often overlooked.
Good Sailing.
