Hunter 216 to buy?

Hunter 216 Amity Harbor
Hi all, I joined this forum as I am considering picking up a Hunter 216. They come and go for sale at various prices as always. My question is regarding ACP cracking topsides particularly. I have read through everything on the internet and here regarding repair and understand the job. But as there are probably many long time owners here, my questions are: Once you repair, does the ACP continue to crack in other places until it is all cracked up? Do the cracked areas remain structurally sound, absorb water over time? If it does remain structurally sound and the cracking is not in the hull, would there be any problem just taping it up for a season or two? I guess my final point of question is if I buy an already cracked boat, am I looking at throwing it away in a few years after enjoying it? Or is the boat worth continuing to repair this way for many many years of service if well cared for? I have plenty of experience in working on boats along with glass work and other plastics and composites. However I just don't know this particular "sandwich" at all. Looking for insight. And thank you ahead for any answers. Respectfully, Andrew
