Happy springtime everyone! I sure would appreciate it if you could spare a moment comment on a few items for this boat: (1) how much does the keel weigh? (2) do the rudder and tiller seem sturdy? (this was a complaint about the 212) (3) is the storage area lockable? (another 212 concern) (4) any idea what the PERF might be? (5) is the backrest high enough to give any real comfort, support and wind protection? (6) does the motor mount seem sturdy? Is it about the right height? (7) anything else you want to say! If you want to you can also email me at admcorp@telusplanet.net cheers, - Tom

Tom, I'll try and answer your questions, I have hull # 6. Don't know weight of board alone. The tiller is made of 1' square tubing, seems very strong, steering effort is very light due to the Vara rudder system, rudder itself is well made. The cuddy cabin is lockable. As yet I do not have a PHRF number, although I hear that Hunter is committed to getting a one design fleet going.A performance kit is in the works. Seat backs are comfortable and high.No worries on the motor bracket, it is quite stongly made of stainless plate and a 2" thick starboard or delrin mount.Fast, well made boat! ED.
