I've been wanting to add a tiller pilot to my Hunter 216 but I scratched my head for quite some time trying to figure out how to attach it to the tiller. I ended up 3D printing a bracket which allows mounting the tiller pilot on top of the seat and attach it to the tiller while remaining horizontal. The pilot gets its power from a lawn tractor battery which is kept charged by a small solar panel. This has been the best upgrade to the boat to date. Happy to share the STL file if others want to print the bracket.
