hunter 20 rudder

bought hunter 20 last year. no rudder with boat. made one frome parts i could findbut the boat does not handle so good when comming about in windy conditions. iwonder if anyone has pictures of, and or measurements of rudder.does the leadingedge extend further forword under transom? i was told that might help my handlingproblem. any info would be helpful. thanks, kent

Leading edge

Kent,I don't know how similar the rudders are, but I have a 22. On this model the eading edge does extend forward of the transom ever so slightly. About an inch. I saw a picture in the Hunter 22 owners area yesterday that may help you. There is a 22 on jacks and there is a shot of the rudder and transom. Give it a look.Todd
