Has anyone turned over the hunter 18.5? I had it in 20 mph winds last weekend and was trying to put the rail in the water when my wife came above ship and freaked out. She wants to know if we can tip it over, I told her I didn't think so. Any thoughts? Thanks

We've had an 18.5 for a season now and have had it out in some pretty gusty winds (20 - 25 knots). My experience has been that it will round up into the wind after heeling over quite a bit. I guess we have had ours to 40 degrees or so before in gusts. We liked the boat, but wanted more room, so we have since moved to a 25.5.

That is pretty much what I experienced. I was putting the sails up and trying to teach my wife how to feel the wind. Needless to say she didnt feel the wind, and we almost had an unplanned man overboard drill. I want my wife to learn to sail though, I hate reading the stories about guys who get thrown overboard and are never seen again as they never taught their wife to sail the boat.
