Hunter 170 review
I've owned my 170 for about 2 years now and am thrilled with it. It's a stable boat that handles well under sail and power. It seems to be the best of both worlds- I can sail peacefully along and drink a cold one or I can sheet it in and get 'er up on a rail and feel the adrennalin rush. I don't know much in comparison with the Capri 16.4; but have friends who own a Capri 14 and they're overall satisfied. It doesn't seem quite as stable, but that's largely due to the size, I think. 17 foot is just about right. Less than that and it gets a bit tipsy. There are features I like about Capri and there are features that they prefer on my Hunter.
