"Maybe I was wrong but I thought topsides meant the top of the boat(non skid,seats,hatches,etc) and the hull was the hull, not part of topsides."That's the common usage Larry but confused by the fact that the term "topsides" is an oxymoron since it also denotes the hull above the waterline.If Navy or Coast Guard "speak" is acceptable, it refers to anything above or including the first weather deck.Now if I could only learn something worthwhile...
