I have a 1984 O'day 19 (not a Mariner & not a 192; by the way - what is its model name?). I just discovered this terrific site and this is the first of a series of questions I have.A few years ago I somehow punched two small holes (size of a quarter to $0.50 piece) below the waterline at the bow. I speculate that I either did it launching from the trailer or hitting a large crab trap in Barnegat Bay (NJ).The guy at the powerboat shop who did the fiberglass repair in Reading (PA) said the hull was very thin and he wouldn't want to sail it. He suggested that I reinforce it, as a minimum with foam backing. I haven't sailed it since. I bought it used (I'm the third owner), but I don't know of any previous damage.Any comments or suggestions?
