Just had a funn experience with a seriously unbalanced trailer on my newly acquired Oday 23. After taking the boat out of the water to avoid flood damage from Ivan rains to come, the trailer and boat tipped backward when the trailer was released from the car. The tiller took the brunt of the weight but I now have a scraped tiller bottom and a small nick out of the bottom/rear of the hull. It appears to be mainly cosmetic but I am not sure. Any suggestions on what to use to reseal tiller where it scaped and what , if anything, to use to "patch" the small nick (probably 1/8")?

If your hardware isn't bent the scrapes and gouges can be repaired easily. West Marine or Boat US or any good marine store have Gelcoat repair material. Just be sure the parts are clean. I use acetone but it's very volatile and I use rubber gloves. If you do the work it should cost less than $20.00 for the job. Good luck
