My MacGregor 26X spent 2 months on seawater in early 2008. I had painted Interlux Micron CSC, after cleaning the hull with the mixing chemical for that paint. Although I put 3 coats on, some of the paint washed off near the waterlines. What is the recommended way of preparing the hull for better paint durability? I intend to just touch up where the paint wore off.

Micron CSC is ablative, meaning that it's supposed to wear off over time. So you're fine.
One course of action is to paint each coat a different color to measure how well it's wearing off.
Sand the spots down with 80 grit and paint the spots. Just don't spill the can, since it's so expensive.
