I contacted Gelcoat Products about getting some color matched gel coat. They said, for my '85 192, the colors were O'day lt. gray GCP code 29, and O'day crew GCP code 30. Not sure what GCP code means.
It turns out I would have to purchase 1 gallon of gelcoat for $100, and then an additional $20 to turn 1 qt. of that 1 gallon into gelcoat paste. So, for $240 plus shipping, I'd have 3 quarts of liquid gray, 1 qt. of gray paste, and 3 quarts of liquid creme, and 1 qt. of creme paste.
Needless to say, I can't justify that cost just to fill some chips and cracks.
I also wrote to Spectrum Color, and they don't have color codes for the O'day. They said I could send samples for a 100% color match, but again in gallons for $300 per gallon!
Guess I just need to become a color matching expert on my own...
I lucked out on my Harpoon. The interior color is a sand color that is very closely matched by Rustoleum Almond spray paint!
