For a novice, where do you find the hull number?

On my 29.5, it's located in the aft bunk. There's an access panel under the cushion. Try all similar places on your boat - it will be in an out-of-the-way place, but easily accessible.

on reasonably recent boats the law requires that the Hull number be readable on the outside of the boat-look on the stern sides of the hull- on recent hunters, its on the starbd side, embossed, and starts with HUN.- the code is:mgf code,length, s/n, date code.
