Hello all. My dad is negotiating the purchase of a hunter boat. Is there a way I can tell the manufacture date and the model, etc. by the hull number?HUN26530J586

HUN = Hunter265 = Model 26.53 = 20030 = not sureJ = not sure586 = 586th hull builtIf I'm off the mark, I apologize, but that's what I remember from researching my hull #.

I believe the ID HUN26530J586 translates to:HUN=Hunter26=model530=hull numberJ=month of manufactur (A=1,B=2,J=10) = October5=year of manufacture 198586=model year 1986

Hull ID codes

Mark is pretty close-the 26 refers to the length (it's a federal standard so they measure diffently-my 356 gets a 35...), not the model number. Also, Hunter usually starts with Hull number 101, so a hull with number 586 is really the 486th hull
