Anyone glue a transponder for the depth sounder in your hull. I'm having a hard time finding a place where the signal will work, I believe there is a core in the hull of my 1980 around the center line, I've tried back by the engine compartment to no avail. Maybe someone has had some luck and could tell me where they located it. thanks Bill

looking forward of the keel or you'll hit something before the transducer "sees" it. Have you poked around in the archives? Lots of talk in the past of different methods of fastening inside the hull of many different boats.

H-33 depth transducer location
On my H-33/1980, the transducer is cemented to the inside of the hull and functions well.(no hole through bottom). It is located on the floor of the aft port settee locker. It is directly in front of the through hull valve for the sink drain. This is about 5 inches in front of the wall between sink cabinet and settee locker; and about 2 inches from the inboard wall. Hope yours works as well. Good Luck Henry
