Hull make up

Can anyone tell me about the makeup of the hull of a 1974 newport 27?

Specifically thickness, materials, keel.

Is this boat made for blue water passages?

If it's built like the N30, it should have about 3/4 inch reinforced fiberglass hull thickness...deck varies between 3/4 fiberglass to 1+ inches with a sandwich over the cabin and foredeck. Mast shoould be stepped on the top of the cabin with a compression post that goes down through to sit on the keel. Keel should be lead with a fiberglass overlay...
