Consider This
Morning Richard:I have a 83 O34 that had the original lining. Over the years, I've used various methods in efforts to clean it with cleaning products, but it never really looked good, just passable. This past week (off season keep busy stuff) I began tearing out the lining starting with the v-berth. What I found was old rotten fungus ridden foam rubber behind the fabric. This stuff stunk to high heaven and was full of mold spores that the previous cleaning never touched. It took the biggest part of the day tearing the lining out and using a wire brush cleaning up the mess. I then washed every thing down with ammonia to kill any spores left. I'm replacing the lining with a heavy vinyl upholstry material which I found at a fabric center. I'm suspecting that the vinyl will be a lot easier to maintain and clean if needed. This may not be the solution for you, but I'll bet that if there has been water leakage, that you will find the same thing if you check it out. Just another option and something to think about.Luck with it!
