I want to replace the interior paper with a cloth hull liner and would like a recommendation on the type of glue to use. I have a brush on glue that I used for laminating countertops but I don't think this would work...Any suggestions ? Thanks Capn'

contact cement

If you are using a fairly thick fabric, consider contact cement. You may find a spray can of it a an automotive paint supply store. Or check for spray glue at an art supply store. I used contact cement for this purpose once, but I got it on too thick in a couple of places and it saturated the fabric to a degree that was visible. Experiment outside your boat on a peice of wood or formica to develop your technique...

Fabric Glue at Jo-Ann Fabrics

We got a clear plastic bottle of the stuff. Glued our fabric wall liners up 18 months ago, and they are still OK. David Lady Lillie

Glue

I just replaced my liner with a headliner material from an automotive top shop. I use the same spray on glue they use (bought at the shop) This is my second headliner I have installed. I reconditioned another boat about 4 years ago and the glue worked fine. recommend not using cloth headliner. It is hard to clean mildew. I find vinyl better.
