I just got an oday widgeon, what is the second drain hole for under the starbard seats in the transom?

i'm not sure about the widgeon, but i had a mariner for a short while. if i remember correctly, there were two small holes/plugs into an enclosed bow section which contained floatation. i believe the drainholes were to drain any condensation that might build up. there could be a floatation chamber under the seats in the widgeon.

i learned the hard way that the drainholes plugs need to be installed. mine came without plugs and i flipped it in a sudden gust one october. with the plugs missing the floatation chamber was less effective. no one was on the lake and my wife and i were a half mile from shore and the boat wouldn't stay righted. we sat on the bottom of the boat for 1.5 hrs before someone came by. leave it to say, you don't want to spend an 1.5 hr on the bottom of your sailboat with your wife, or someone elses wife for that matter.
