companionway slides. While getting her ready for launch today I noticed a couple of sections of the toe rail were loose. The bungs are still ok. One end of the starbord companionway hatch slide is loose and the bung is ok. I don't want to mess with these this year. Next year I am going to re-finish them. Does anyone know if the raised sections of the hull under these areas is cored or just solid glass? Thanks, Rob

OK. I'll answer my own question...for anyone

interested. The raised mounting surfaces beneath the teak toe rail and companion way hatch slides are solid fiberglass, not cored. Another fact I found myself when I re-bedded the jib tracks is it is also core free under them. It was hard to tell from the cabin on those.

Oops...Rudy Nickerson answered the

questions I had when I called today. Great guy. Great help anytime I've needed it.
