Hull Cleaning

I've just repainted my '78 C30's hull. What is the recommended time to wait before her next bottom cleaning? Someone mentioned that the new paint can/will "fend off" growth for up to six months. ~ I keep her in SD's Mission Bay and retain a diver for scheduled (~ monthly) cleanings at a $30.00/month charge. I had mine done early last year up in Oceanside and they told me to wait 3 solid months before cleaning the bottom. I did and haven't had any problems (yet).!! Jim S/V JimmyDreams

Had bottom done in Mid December,

it stayed pretty good for 3 months, then had diver start cleaning at little less than 4 months. Just upcoast from you but water is warmer now so you might start getting some "fuzz" a little sooner.
