I posted in the Islander forum area, but got no responses... now we have been on a sea trial, and I have made an offer and scheduled a haul-out and survey for next Tuesday! We are in love with this boat (we think!) Help me, I'm falling!Anyway, I apologize in advance if this is the wrong forum for this topic, but I am looking for info to avoid possibly making an expensive mistake! We are looking at an '82 Islander Bahama 30. I haven't been able to find much info on hull or deck construction, though, or on these boats in general. Didn't find much on the Islander website. Does anyone have insight? Is the hull cored? What is the deck coring material, if any? Any known problem areas in these boats?Faux Pas looks like she has been very well maintained and nicely updated, and I'm trying to decide if she is the yacht for our family. Cored hulls do worry me...Anyone out there that can shed more light on these boats?Best regards, Wulfe
