I am looking very hard at buying a '95 Sabre Mark II and would very much appreciate some feedback on how she really sails? I will be sailing a sea trial next week and have lot's of questions like, when she tacks in around 10-12 knots what's the polar look like? 80 degrees? 85 degrees? When running with cruising spinnaker how's she jibe? With 17,000 displacement/7,000 ballast is she too slow to get up to speed - sort of low-end SA/D numbers? Or OK? Quality issues: any cases of blistering? Chain-plate issues? Rudder post? Etc ... Not asking for anyone else to be our surveyor (we are, of course going to do that ... ) just asking for some practical advise and experience from those who own or have owned and sailed/raced a Mark II so I can hopefully go into this with my eyes wide open? Thanks.
