How to winterize the Yanmar SB-8

What is the proper way to winterize the Yanmar SB-8 on my 78 27ft. She is hauled out untill spring.  Thanks , Bry.

easy to do....

Just remove the intake from the thru hull and place hose in bucket of antifreeze. Use hand crank and decompression release to turn engine over until all water is expelled and antifreeze starts to come out of exhaust. Don't forget to drain your water tank also. That should take care of it.

Winterizing

I, change the oil and filters (after warming the engine), then put the water intake into a bucket of antifreeze and run the engine till the red stuff comes out the exhaust. I also spray the outside of the engine lightly with WD40, replace the absorbant mat in the engine bilge and wipe away any dirt.Changing the oil and filters is the messy part. The rest is easy.
