How to test this bilge pump hunter 45ds

Boby, the float switch is right next to the pump. It looks like it is screwed down. Loosen the screws lift it and the float should activate the pump. There could be a manual switch on the side of the switch as well!

Check to see if there is a Bilge Pump switch (manual activation) or a fuse.
Flipping the switch or replacing the fuse will tell you if the motor may or may not run. It will not tell you that the motor can cause the pump to move water out of your bilge... A gallon or two of water dumped into the bilge... Bingo instant answer. If no joy then a good shop vac can be used to remove the water.
