How to sell my O’day 23?

Oday 23 New River Az
It has come time to sell my O’day 23. The cancer I have is never goig to allow me in the sun again. So, as much as I hate to say it, I need to let my sailboat go. When I bought it we had a local consignor that had a sailboat lot. They have since closed and the local scene has shrunk in the mean time. Craigslist is just an ad dump now, and I had removed FB from my phone, though I could go back and get my password again to post it there. Just wondering where others have had luck.

Thanks, Walker

A problem:
Aside from placing an ad on this site your best option is a local sale. I've sold two boats posting notices in supermarkets, local marinas, chandleries (I know, Arizonia. But sources say there are more boats in Arizona per capita than any other state).
Speaking of local... Is there a trailer? That would change your strategy. Local becomes much larger.
You could find facebook groups for O'day owners, sailors or whatever to post on.
Sailboatsforsale.com is another option. For the commission on an older sailboat, brokers will list it but not spend much money on marketing it.
You really need to become your own boat seller. When I lived on the North Fork of LI people would haul a boat to some place on the Main road, put a sign on it and hope for the best. It kinda worked.
In my opinion, with any marketing you do don't bother with listing all the features you think are important to a buyer. Try to sell the potential of what the boat could do for a potential buyer. "Family fun" "Adventure on the cheap" "See the Powell treasures on a budget" "Tour without high fuel costs" or something like that. No one you are trying to entice cares about the details of the scuppers. As is said about steak .. sell the sizzle.

Good pictures. I can't count the number of boat ads I've seen in which you can't make out very much about the boat, or worse yet, the boat has a cover on it.

I just bought an Oday 240 yesterday in New York. I took an ASA101 class and bought it from the instructor. The marina manager is also a broker. The instructor listed his boats on sailboatlistings. He sold a Catalina 22 also this past week. Maybe look for local ASA instructors/marina managers who would help move it.

Boats always look better in photos. SBO, sailboatlistings and sailingTexas are all excellent places to list a sailboat
