Sad to say the time has come sell my 34 O Day. Searched here but threads are older. How does one market and sell on an older boat now a days? How to find a value? Yachtworld only lists asking prices and reflects high priced boats listed by brokers. post covid, brokers seem less interested in boats under 50k.
Any advice is welcomed. Thank you.

Is there a yacht broker in the area? They would give you a reasonable value in today’s market(and in your geographic location).

To sell our 1981 J/36 we dealt with a broker who agreed on a fixed commission amount rather than a percentage of the selling price (which would have been less...) The broker put in good effort because she knew what she would get paid and the boat sold reasonably quickly.

It's been a while, but when we sold our previous boat thru a broker, we first agreed on a reasonable listing price, and then agreed on what my net would be. The broker did negotiate down some to get the sale, but he was spending his %, and not my net receipt. :)
He got his commission in 30 days flat, and I got to move on. (I did also personally wash and clean up the boat every week, to maintain that 'new' appearance, as well.
