Recently purchased a 1980 Catalina 25, which came with a spinnaker and pole. I've been doing some reading to try to learn how to rig and sail a spinnaker, but I'm still pretty confused. Does anyone know of some good online references for this, preferably with pictures? Even better, I know, would be to have someone experienced with spinnakers go out with us, but unfortunately, I don't know anyone like that. Thanks, Jack

I have to recommend lessons

Just put a note on the bulletin board at your marina (if yours has one), and someone good at sailing will almost always respond. Otherwise, contact a ASA certified school in your area.

Here's a bowsprit

This easy to assemble 8-footer will throw your spinnaker away from the main, allowing better angles of sail. Take a look and write back if you have any questions. bodonovan@vagazette.com
