end boom
Booms such as yours with end-boom sheeting call for an end-boom preventer. If you climb up on your arch and read the notation on the end of your Selden boom, you'll find the attachment point for the preventer so noted. (If memory serves right, it says "preventer only") Hunter has provided a perfect spot for the preventer block to be attached on the toe rail. If you count back two stanchions from the pulpit you'll see a flattened spot where an aluminum mounting plate was added into the laminate. You can attach a watertight U-bolt there, (see WM catalog page 574, and go for the maximum working load possible) but it's a great deal of work to back it properly. I had to install inspection ports in the headlined. In my opinion it's a good job for the dealer or a boat yard to handle. The nice thing about installing a u-bolt there is that it's also a great place to but a snatch block if you want to use an outboard lead for reaching.
