Both my deck organizers have suffered sheive self destruction...I have the replacments which I purchased from Cat Direct but I am clueless as how to remove and install. I was hoping for advice. It appears the nut is under the headliner??
On my 1985 c30, the deck organizers have a single screw running through each of the sheaves. If there is a nut (I don't thinks so), it is permanently in place and not accessible. You should be able to simply remove the screws. r-moretti@northwestern.edu
that is glassed inside the cabin top. Use some penetrating oil on the screws. Use a big screwdriver to work them back and forth untill they come out. Mine was bedded with 5200, so I had to work around the assembly with a common screwdriver to get it up.
Thanks for the info..seems it shouldnot be too hard..I was concerned because the replacments came with a nut on the end of the machine screws thru the sheives and I was afraid I would have to be able to tighten that somehow!!! Time to get out the PB Blaster for the screws and a big screw driver!!!!!
