How to raise the salon table on a 2000 passage 450

Hi everyone,

I've loosened the 't' handle bolt, pulled the pin out as far as it will go and got under the table and tried to lift it with my back. It didn't budge.

It will turn around on the post but will not go up or down.

The counter weight rope is tight.

So, how to you raise and lower your table.

BTW, Our bio page is totally out of date. We sold the 420 and bought a 450. I'll update it soon, once we get caught up on all the things you have to do when you get another boat.

Thanks,

Buddy

Is the counter weight stuck inside the post? Pull the rope - will the weight go up? If it wont go up it probably won't go down.

Did the table get heavier? The one on my H29.5 could get pretty heavy from all the junk we put in the storage area! Enough at times to offset the counter weights effort.

Bill, I can pull the rope and the counter weight goes up and down. The table has nothing on it. I imagine I exerted over a 100 pounds of lift on the bottom of the table when I got under it and tried to lift it with my back. The table will swivel around the pole, so that eliminates a screw, bolt or pin locking it in position.

It has me baffled.
