O.K.....I know what you are thinking...Mast raising question again? Hahah Well, I suppose many have asked how to raise the mast on a Hunter 27. You could probably copy and paste the answere if you looked back far enough in the message board. But I have not idea really how to do this. I figure I would use the craine at the Marina I put in at. Do I put the mast up after the boat is in the water? Give me some clues. On the top side, all I have is the base that the mast fits down into. I don't see any place to put the foot of the mast in order to use a leverage or anyting like that. So, do I pull the mast up 90 degree on the crane some how and them position the boat under the mast while I am in the water? Skipperofthebaybee.....Eric Stanson from Ohio..Port Clinton/lake Erie

Done a couple.

I've done a couple, up to 40' masts. The biggest we ran a strap under the crossbar. The strap had a loop sen in the end. The other end we ran to the forks , then raised the fork. Drove over to the boat and lowered the end of the mast to the step. Hook up riggin and thats it. The fork was on a surface about 5 foot above water line. That makes it easy. Good luck. I'm doing one in a slip this coming month. Just blocks and lines, no fork. Its a H27. IslandJack
