Hi, anyone who knows how to install an inner forestay on a Beneteau Oceanis 343? Most important: how to fix it to the deck?

Securely. Assuming you want to hoist sails on it and not use simply it as a babystay, I would suggest looking at securing the innerstay just aft of the anchor locker, using the vertical bulkhead there as an attach point for the stay chainplates.

Under no circumstance simply use an unsupported area of the cabin roof with backing plates. You'll pull up the deck.

I think that I have previously seen a write-up and photos of an inner forestay installation on the Yahoo Groups, Beneteau 343 site. You may try there.
If I may ask, what is the rationale of installing the forestay? Do you have excessive mast pumping for your sailing locale?

I want to install it to be able to hoist a storm jib on it. I have one that can be fit over my furled genoa, but when conditions call for it, it is not easy to get there and do it.
