Just have to say, I never thought that this post would become what it is.... Funny thing though, over at Sailing Anarchy, where I lifted the link from, that post has nothing but positive responses in support of such a program. Considering what some here think of SA, I find that fact giving me a bit of an ironic chuckle.
Again, no agenda by my initial post, just wanted to show something positive. Apparently, positive stories about kids learning to sail is not something that some feel should be posted here......
) ... this is my on-line neighborhood. I simply enjoy more freedom in open discussion and will always advocate for it. The content of this thread absolutely invited discussion on a whole cast of societal issues. Of course politics is inherently embedded in it. If you shut the door on any discussion in the pretense of politeness, then what is there to discuss? I suppose we can all say "Oh yeah, that's nice ... <yawn> ..."
