Hi jimq26...

...not quite a newbie, have been on this site since about Sept 2005 I think, didn't remember seeing it, I love it, still laughing...however not laughing as had as the post Ross made about how to prevent seasickness by putting shark meat on a three foot string, swallowing it... Jack Hart

That was funny

A few years ago I was bringing my old boat from the sassafrass to Have de Grace in October for winter storage, I was short crew so I asked a coworkers, non boating husband to go for the day sail, it was a cold misty raw October morning, I picked the boat up from the mooring and brought her over to the T head, had her all tied up when he and the wives came down the dock. We were all set to go when he starts to step off the dock understeps and falls right between the boat and the dock. He was fine but so marked the sucess of the trip from then on. The wind was not in our favor, but eventually made it to the channel where we started the iron genny, everying was going fine until white smoke started to bellow from the compainionway. I shut the engine off...I was about to investigate when a power boat came up and asked if we needed a tow. we accepted, he towed us though the channel almost to tidewater when he cut the marker too close with the swing of the pennant and ran us aground. Finally he was able to get us off and over to the mooring ball...... As for the engine, the raw water hose sprung a leak causing cold raw water to spray on the hot engine....not too bad. Maybe its just the luck of a virgin crewmember....come to think of it...Ive never been boating with him since...humm

Remember these

video's and the day you take a flop of the dock or boat, look around for the camera as you might find yourself on here next. Great fun, reminds me of my 1st fall, and a few others I've seen, and said wish I had a camera. Happy Sailing

Its a wonder our insurance rates aren't higher

I can't tell you how many times I've gotten tangled in the lifelines getting off the boat. Seems like I'm always barefooted too. Ouch... Markdb

It's OK

It's OK to repost this one. No one would ever search for this in the archives and it is funny. Thanks.
