Can anyone give me a link to how to flush your AC unit. I am wanting to use diluted muriatic acid but I don't want to use the pump to flush it through. What pump/method would you advise to use?

I run a hose with a salt a way attachment into the ac unit intake and let it flush the lines. I leave some in overnight then after it sets and hopefully dissolves any salt build up, I flush it with clean fresh water.

I always used diluted muriatic acid until an A/C guy I trust (and there are VERY few) suggested the Mary Kate Hull & Deck cleaner instead. It has the diluted muriatic acid in it but is MUCH less dangerous. Use your A/C pump, it won't hurt it, intake from a (plastic only) bucket & return into the same bucket. Not more than a few minutes. If you are in dirty water (estuary or river, etc.) this needs to be done at least once a year to clean out the mud & scale in the s/w lines to facilitate heat transfer. In places like the Ashly River (Charleston City Marina) in Charleston SC, we had to do it monthly because of the mud & shell build up in the lines in the summer. Was considering designing an ozone injection system to retard the growth, but sailed off to the Caribbean instead.

I have been told some put those clorox taps in the strainer and did so this past April and really cleaned the strainers on the engine,AC,Gen.

Tried the pool bleach tabs, but operating the system 24/7 in the summer, they just didn't last long enough. I also had some concern, though found no evidence, that the bleach might do damage to rubber or plastic parts of pump.
