how to fix gelcoat chips

I pulled my 2005 Hunter 25 from my slip this weekend to do a bit of cleaning and maintenance. I have a few places where the gelcoat is chipped about the size of a pea. In the past, I have used Marine-Tex to fix such small areas. Is there a better product out there, or is Marine-Tex sufficient?

Use gelcoat thickened with some cabosil. First clean area with acetone and rough up the bonding surface. You can likely get some gelcoat from your Hunter dealer which will match the colour of your boat.
