Sheaves replacement

I had the main sheet halyard sheave replaced after it was discovered to be missing during a rigging inspection. The rigger replaced both the main halyard and topping lift sheave with the mast still upright. He also reduced the rake from about 6 in. to about 2 in. Boat still sails great, and I can get the main up 98% by hand without a winch. Flaking with the Dutchman is also much better as most of the sail now just falls freely. Total cost with parts was @ $175 in Clear Lake area of Houston.

yard job

Done it many times. You'll need to have a yard do it unless you have access to a gin pole.

Get it changed with the mast up!

Save youreslf a lot of trouble and get it changed with the mast inposition. It will be quicker, cheaper and cause less wear and tear on your boat.
