How to create a fiberglass travel style tube

Often folks are using pvc piping for a travel corridor for water lines, electrical wires, and so forth. Some complain that the pvc can break loose and so forth. Instead of pvc, here is a trick to make a travel path with fiberglass.

Take a rubber hose and lay it where you want to run that coated with some type of agent like a grease that fiberglas with resin will not adhere to. Then lay glass over that hose but at least two layers. When dry, pull the hose out. As you are pulling, the hose stretches out thus getting smaller and since it is not adhering to the glass when being stretched smaller, out it comes and you have a nice fiberglass tube.

I do not know if you want to do this but just somenhting else I use to do on boats.

Why not just use the rubber hose and forget the fiberglass? Sorry if that sounds silly. Just sorta popped into my pretty little amphibious head.

Maybe, but that doesn't explain why we shouldn't just use the hose. Especially if you're gonna run water. I mean, it's a WATER hose.
Kermit i did just that from my flux gate compass to the rear of the boat so i would have a raceway for the wiring for the compass and the depth transducer was a 1 &1/8 hose about 12 ft long there was no cavity to speak of under the sole in that location ....now lean your head sideways and stomp the floor with you foot :D
