How to best fix this?

When getting my H240 on the trailer at the end of last season I wound up taking a good chunk out of the nose of the boat - see the pictures. Is this something I can epoxy over to fix or does it require more?

That area is usually pretty thick. Ain't nothing a little grinding, thickened epoxy and paint can't fixed. I had the same problem on my C22 while trailering. The winch strap got loose and the bow got beaten to death against the bow roller support before I realized it.

I did the same thing with my 240- it hit the upright on the forward roller when loading and removed a chunk. I used MarineTex to repair, worked fine, but my spot was not as deep. I have since replaced that roller with a wider one, and put rubber end caps on a longer shaft.
I noticed your boat sits on the trailer different than mine. My 240 does not contact the front roller at all when on the trailer- it only touches that roller when loading due the angle of the ramp. Also my bunks conform to the shape of the hull at the front- your boat looks to be resting on the edge of the bunk instead of the top. Could the front roller be keeping the hull up off the bunks? What's the black hose coming out of the tongue extension?

Thanks for the responses. I've used MarineTex before when I dinged up my rudder (it's always something, isn't it?).
Caverun, that's interesting about your trailer. True, the boat rests only on the inside of the bunks in forward half. I've always found that odd, but just assumed that was the way it was supposed to be. Maybe the previous owner did a little tinkering with the bunks or the roller for some reason. Gives me another project to investigate!
The black conduit in the front is the electrical for the trailer lights.

I am using a I phone as computers is being repaired. Pleas take a side view of your trailer and sen to me. The trailer was designed specifically for the hull so not to damage the hull and water ballast. I assisted in the design
