How stable is an H22 motoring without sail?

I'm planning a trip on a large lake this weekend and will have to motor thru some narrow channels and some open water. How stable is an H22 in 2-3 foot waves and 15-20 MPH winds. I don't plan to sail until the winds die down but want to get to a Marina for the night. Do I have any concerns being abreast to the wind.ThanksPete

Will your mast be up?

The stick adds a lot of stability when motoring in waves.In any case, I can't imagine any issues other than possible discomfort and keeping the motor in the water for the journey you describe.The h22 will easily handle 2-3 foot waves.davidLady Lillie

Motering in waves

I have found that if I moter through waves at a 45 degree angle there is less rock and the moter stays in the water better.
