Hello, I just recently bought a 1980 25' Oday.
I was told by the seller that this boat has had very little use. The original owner bought it and sailed it from a southern state to NH and basically let it sit. The seller also has had it for 8 years and has never sailed it.
This evening, I took the sails out of the bag and thought that the sails were relatively new. But.....There is a large double circle on the main with a 25 off to one side. On both the main and jib there is a bulls eye pattern, white and blue, with "Neil Pryde international" printed on it. I also have the original sales pamphlet that shows the double circle with the 25.
Is it possible that these sails have survived for 30 years? Or can they be duplicated?
Also the main has the numbers 06974 on it and the jib has the number 23959. The jib also has ropes that look like new. There is some tarnish on the bronz fittings and a little rust color at the top of the jib hole. There are some areas beefed up with leather. A real nice job.
Thanks Daysailer
