How much wood in a Javeling 14?

I have an Oday Javeling 14 day sailer that needs work. The Transome shows rot and I will take care of that. There are also cracks under the seat that have allowed water to enter under the deck. Is there also plywood in this part of the boat? How much damage could there be. What should I look for.The broader question is how much of the boat materials that could be rotted.

How Old?

Which vintage of Javelin do you have? 1962-72 or the 1973-later version? The hull and rig are the same, but the newer model has the whole cockpit molded as part of the deck. You may want to do a web-search for O'Day Javelin, I've seen a couple of good web-sites showing restorations of the older Javelins.I'm not sure if there is a plywood core in the seat tops or not, the transom is plywood cored and the web-sites that I looked at addressed that pretty good.
