At those prices for the boat, how much is membership in the coop?I pay around 10$/ft/year, 295$ per year for my 30 foot sailboat, winter storage is 225$ and cradle storage is 75$.
It is a coop style yacht club, so we have to help with running the place, we have a nice club house with a fully equipped kitchen, showers and bathrooms, electricity at the docks. Water and pump out at the service dock with a masting crane on site
Interested to see fred1diver's response. There's a coop marina in Baltimore, MD near us - Anchorage Marina. You can rent a slip from an owner, or buy one outright and then pay the coop fees. I looked at it and the fees for a 35' slip are $451/yr, electricity minimum of $160/yr. and an assessment is $800 per year, so $1,411 if you own your slip outright. 35' slips have a huge range - $9k - $25k. I did some reading on the place, and its def had its ups and downs. For years a coop board ran it into the ground, disrepair, bankruptcy, then a new board was installed and things were reversed and it looks pretty nice now. Def a different model. If I lived near there I might consider it. You can see all the pricing here:At those prices for the boat, how much is membership in the coop?
How does your coop raise funds for dock and slip maintenance?

Interesting marina. If I were planning to keep my boat there indefinitely, it would be a good option to buy. Rents are more than double what I currently pay however. I'd have to do the numbers to see how many years it would take to pay off the purchase compared to where I am. But I'm putting this one in my back pocket, so to speak. I'm right off Sparrows point, not far from Baltimore really, and right across the bay from Rock Hall. It's easy to get to from New York, I find anyway, but I don't mind driving. From where I'm at, it is just under a 4 hour drive depending on traffic. You get off 95 before Baltimore so you miss the tunnel traffic.IWow... thats a great price! Where on the Chesapeake are you?
I thought in the 70's that is what the kids called it... Or maybe it was experimentation.research
Took me a minute to figure out where you got that one word to quote .... I just got a few months ago a publication (I think it comes out quarterly) from my university alma mater and there was an entire article on LSD and the research being done using it for mental disorders. If you 'll recall, when it was first discovered it was being hailed as a break through drug of doing psychological studies. Of course the '60's and '70's changed the focus a bit...I thought in the 70's that is what the kids called it... Or maybe it was experimentation.
not looking now….. pretty settled up here for now. But thanks! Your daily grounds are nice…… just drove though there last week.I'm right off Sparrows point, not far from Baltimore really, and right across the bay from Rock Hall. What does your Benneteau 423 draw? How wide is it? 6 feet is just about the limit for depth.
I'm about 6 feet of draft (technically 5'11") and 13'2" wide. There aren't a lot of slips here that take my width. The marina is pretty full, but there's actually an end cap open right now next to my boat that's a nice spot if you like end caps. Really depends on if you leave the boat in the water year round or take it out for the winter. If I'm taking my boat out, I like the end cap. If I'm leaving it in, I prefer where I'm at (I leave my boat in the water). If you're seriously looking for more details, shoot me a PM.
