Just bought a 1974 Cat 22 - getting ready to trailer it out of storage (tomorrow). anyone know how much it weighs? Just curious - for truck and hitch weighted-rating purposes. Thank you!!!
If you do not have a copy of the manual, which includes all specs, save this on your computer, or print it out.http://www.catalina22.org/manuals/mnl87/handbook.htm
Boat weights vary. Most of us carry lots of goodies on the boat. You can figure at least 2,500 pounds for your boat and another 500 pounds for your trailer. My trailer is a single axle trailer rated at 3,500 pounds. I am sure that when I travel that my boat/trailer combination is over 3,000 pounds. I usually try to load my boat so that I have around 250 pounds tounge weight. You can check your tounge weight by putting a bathroom scale under the jack.
Boat is 2250 lbs, the trailer that is common to the C22 (Trail-Rite) is another 860 lbs.Figure in about 250 lbs. of "other stuff". Your total load is about 3,360 lbs.So, I second the figures from Dave & Mike.Regards,Ted
