How much CP?

I've been using CP in my shower sump for months. I took it apart yesterday and it was LOADED with hair, soap scum, etc, and boy did it stink! Is CP the right stuff to use? And if so, what is the proper dosage after each shower?ThanksMark Johnson

When are you adding C.P. Mark?

If you squirt some in and immediately pump out the sump, it'll help keep the pump cleaner, but it won't do much good for the sump. C.P. does dissolve hair, oil and soap scum, but it needs a little time to work. Instead of squirting a little in after each shower, try putting a little water and about 4 oz of C.P. in the sump before you leave the boat at the end of the weekend.

Ahhh....4 ounces

The shower sump has it's own float switch. I wait for it to turn off after the shower, then squirt an ounce or two down the shower drain. When the shower sump shuts off, it leaves an inch or so of water remaining.
