how many blisters is too many?

81 Hunter 30. Last haulout was Dec 99. I had significant blistering. I grinded them out and glassed them over and bottom painted. It looks like I'll have the same task again. Probably 200 or so, some small and some about thumb sized a few fist sized. How long can I keep grinding away at the orginal hull and repairing? How many blisters is too many? Hawaii Dan

Since you are in Hawaii.....

you might want to check out the "bottom special" at Ala Wai Marine in Honolulu. They can do a complete peel of the bad gelcoat and replace with epoxy. Basically, its like cheese - when there are mre holes that cheese....! However, If you had used a barrier coat last time, you might be pleasantly surprised. Thanks jim W (just down the road from you in Kailua).

Boats in the MCBH Marina!

What kind of barrier coat? I talked with a spray on paint guy at Kehee last time I hauled. I think I grind and reglass and try a barrier coat this time. s/f Dan
