One sheet or two
One sheet should be a little over the length of the boat. To gybe, you drop the sock, coil the sheet, pass the sheet and sock around the front of the forestay, run the sheet to the turning block aft then the sheet winch, gybe the main, raise the sock, and fill out on the new tack. Two sheets would each be twice the length of the boat. To gybe, you head dead downwind, loose the sheet so the asymetric streams out ahead of the boat, gybe the main, then trim the new sheet, and fill out on the new tack.Good luck - this is a great move - our asymetric converts 20% of our cruising time from motoring to sailing in the light summer airs of Lake Erie!DavidLAdy Lillie
